I saw the video. I was moved. I was skeptical. I needed more information and background. This is a capsule of influential opinions I found to help shape my own. In the end, the act of researching itself - learning about Kony, Uganda, Invisible Children, and dissenting voices - validated the message and method of Kony 2012 for me. It is a beautiful and effective teaser to an issue previously out of my sight. Critics who say that it oversimplifies a complex issue and perpetuates stereotypes have discounted our ability to make informed, reasoned decisions.
